TIRANA, June 3 – Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha harshly attacked the Rama government during his speech at the National Council of the Democratic Party (DP) on Friday.
The chairman of the Democratic Party said that the testimonies of Nuredin Dumani, who is under arrest and has turned into a repentant, prove the connections of the gangs with the high levels of the government.
“Today the developments in this country are beyond imagination and Albania is completely in the hands of crime and only recent events show that in Shkodra, northern Albania, crime and police are one and that crime strikes in every corner of this city as in every corner of the country,” said Berisha.
Further he said that Duman’s evidence that will be made public gradually proves gangs’ connection with the highest levels of government; his testimonies prove the gangs’ dominance over the mafia state.
“Albania, its ministers and directors, prosecutors and judges turn out to be slaves to crime,” Berisha said. /Argumentum.al
