TIRANA, June 16 – A false bomb threat at Pristina airport “Adem Jashari” has set in motion the Kosovo police. Police announced on Thursday that they immediately went to the scene, taking the necessary measures to secure the premises and all persons who were at the airport were evacuated.
The spokesperson of Pristina Airport, Valentina Gara announced that “all operative and investigative actions have been taken by the competent bodies of the Republic of Kosovo and it has turned out that the bomb threat was a false alarm. Pristina International Airport ‘Adem Jashari’ is open for flights, and all of them will be managed as usual!”
This is not the first time that there have been bomb threats at this airport, but fortunately all have resulted to be false alarms.
Bomb threats have been common in Kosovo over the last months happening even at some schools in northern part of the country where a Serb minority lives.
