TIRANA, June 19 – An explosion caused material damage to the shop owned by the citizen, Shaban Aga in the seaport city of Durres, a police release said on Sunday.
The event took place at 3:11 on Sunday morning in the 19th District of Durres, known as the former Swamp (Keneta) area. The explosive (TNT) burst out 7 seconds after it was thrown and caused material damage to Aga’s shop, 58 years old.
According to the testimonies of the attacked person this is not the first time he has received warnings of this kind.
“This is not the first time I feel threatened. Earlier, they threw gasoline at my car, and fired at me two more times. They threw TNT on Saturday night. I have no conflict with anyone and I only debated with the person in question 6 months ago,” said Aga.
Durrës police said in an official statement that the perpetrator of the event is 31-year-old Dardan Kadiu from Burrel, northern Albania. The latter, according to the Police, has also cooperated with other as yet unidentified persons. Meanwhile, according to the police, the cause is a previous conflict between the two people.
There is an increase of the number of explosions across Albania and besides buildings cars are targets of them. The explosion of a moving car killed its owner while he was driving in the outskirts of Tirana a few days ago. The explosion was so strong causing panic among the local people.
The formula of the press releases by police is that such explosions or assassinations happen because of ‘conflict of interest’ between the persons involved in these serious criminal events across Albania.
