TIRANA, June 28 – Prime Minister Edi Rama said in a conference on Tuesday that Albania will launch satellites within this. Rama explained without giving details that the satellites were delayed due to the procedures.
It is planned that Albania will launch two satellites within June this year but it is the first time that PM Rama, who made that pledge at the beginning of this year, brought back the issue again.
The Prime Minister spoke about the satellites (!) During the conference organized on agriculture and according to him, the event will serve to address the degree of fictitiousness to farmers seeking oil subsidies. The head of government said that so far over 50,000 farmers are seeking oil.
“Since we are in a situation where we had to finance extra due to the increase in oil prices, I want to use the opportunity to say that we are preparing another funding for farmers,” Rama said.
“Any fictitiousness regarding the figures will be verified with the digital register of the farm and the use of drones and satellites that due to procedures have taken a little longer to be launched than we predicted, but that moment will come within this year,” PM said.
Rama sees land fragmentation as a surmountable problem once the community is united. “I am very optimistic that we will take agriculture to another level. I refuse to accept that agriculture in Albania can move forward with alms or subsidies or fiscal policies which only create illusions and do not produce success. I am optimistic that land fragmentation is also an insurmountable problem at the moment when we have the land fragmented, but we do not have a fragmented brain and we do not have a fragmented community, “he said.
