TIRANA, August 4 – The chairman of the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party (SP), Taulant Balla, has rejected the claims of some portals, which said on Thursday that the policeman, Arjan Tase, who killed the 7-year-old child with a speedboat in Himara, is his nephew.
Through a post on Twitter on Thursday, Balla rejected the accusations and declared that he has nothing to do with the person in question.
According to Balla, the author should receive exemplary punishment.
“How is it possible that these types of media and political vampires manage to slander and fabricate to this point. I have no connection with this individual, who should receive exemplary punishment,” said Balla.
The tragic event that happened on the beach of Potami in Himara on August 2, where the 7-year-old Jonada Avdia lost her life, who was hit by the speedboat driven by the police officer, Arjan Tase, has shocked the entire Albanian public opinion.
The 7-year-old girl was laid to rest on Wednesday, while a protest is expected to take place on Thursday at 19:00 in front of the Ministry of Interior to demand justice for the death of the little girl.
The protest is expected to demand the resignation of the Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi, the Director General of the State Police, Gledis Nanos and the Minister of Tourism, Mirela Kumbaro. Meanwhile, the opposition parties have also expressed their support for this protest.
