TIRANA, August 9 – A report on the dismissal of the deputy minister of tourism and environment, Ornela Cuci has flared up a public debate as the deputy minister rejected what she called allegations of her being fired.
According to a post on social networks on Tuesday, she said she was the one who asked to be removed from office and was not fired.
Through a post on Facebook, Cuci expressed that she was grateful for the task assigned to her and that serving her country was a blessing.
“I thank Prime Minister Rama, who on 29.07.2022 accepted my release from duty after my request to be free from service in the Ministry of Tourism and Environment,” said Cuci.
Cuci said that it was five years of intensive work where she hoped that she had made her modest contribution to the opening and development of important environmental topics, or to dealing with sharp and delicate environmental issues in Albania and beyond, in the region.
