Young man shot dead in northern city on Sunday evening causing shock in Shkodra

TIRANA, September 18 – The northern city of Shkodra was shocked as the young man, Erjon Xhenje, was killed in a bar on Sunday evening.
Several people approached and shot at him, while the 19-year-old was in a bar on Bujar Bishanaku Boulevard, reports from the scene of the crime said. The gunmen were on a motorcycle and they left an alley after the fatal shots.
It is reported from Shkodra who were at the scene of the crime that it is unclear who the perpetrators may be, but the police are reportedly investigating. However it is supposed that there were at least two people involved in this tragic event. The boulevard where the crime took place is monitored by security cameras, but the perpetrators entered a secondary alley to leave.
PM Edi Rama said in a press conference on Saturday that crime is under control in Albania ranking it with the lowest rates of criminality in Europe.
So far no official report has been released on the fatal crime taking the life of a 19-year-old youth. /Argumentum.al
