TIRANA, September 20 – The US Ambassador to Albania Yuri Kim spoke about Iran’s cyber attack on Albania, expressing the support of her country at the conference organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Tirana on Tuesday.
You know better than all of us what citizens need for a better and safer life. You also know the risks they face every day regarding the access to services. Local leaders know the priorities to have a safe life, said Ambassador Kim.
Further she said the US is in Albania to help and they like to be in the country to help. Tuesday’s conference, according to her, is one of the ways and she was proud that they have helped the Albanian people with cyber security measures.
Kim said everyone needs partnerships between governments and private sectors because the risks are known.
These authoritarian regimes use technology to serve their objectives. Other countries sponsor other cyber attacks. We are satisfied that we have the right people in this room, people who understand the risks and can offer solutions, said Ambassador Kim. /Argumentum.al
