TIRANA, October 20 – The presence of the OSCE in Albania, with the financing of the governments of the United States of America, Italy and Greece, is supporting the activities for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Constitutional Court.
Speaking at the conference held on Thursday, the Chairman of the Presence, Ambassador Vincenzo Del Monaco, said that Albania had a Constitutional Court which was paralyzed by the lack of a quorum two years ago.
According to him, today, the Court is fully functional and acts in an efficient manner guided by the best knowledge of its members.
Monaco said the Constitutional Court plays an essential and pivotal role in Albanian democracy.
The OSCE ambassador underlined that the Constitutional Court has made a major contribution to instilling the trust of citizens with a conscience for common values. Monaco said those values are common to all and are tangible for the citizens, which were like that even before they were put on paper. /Argumentum.al
