TIRANA, October 26 – The Minister of Finance and Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, said on Wednesday that the main objective of the 2023 draft budget is support for the needy, support for the non-change of the price of electricity and the energy sector as a whole, as well as support for growth of economic sustainability and fiscal consolidation.
“Mitigating the impact of the global crisis on our society, supporting especially the most needy segments of society and maintaining the main objective of the fight against this crisis, which has been electricity and not changing the price of energy. The second objective is the clear continuation of the consolidation of public finances,” declared Ibrahimaj during the presentation of the budget to the Parliamentary Committee on Economy and Finance.
In addition to these, Ibrahimaj pointed out that a number of budget policies and investment projects materialize through this budget.
Regarding the economic growth for the next year, Ibrahimaj said that in the basic scenario is an expected real growth of 2.6%.
Meanwhile, the latest IMF forecast for the economic growth for the next year is at 2.2%. Inflation is expected to have an average rate of 3.6% for the next year. /Argumemtum.al
