TIRANA, October 31 – The chairman of the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party (SP), Taulant Balla, informed on Monday that the 800 kW energy threshold will not be applied even in the month of November.
In a statement to the media from the headquarters of the Chairmanship of the Assembly, Balla announced the postponement of the establishment of the 800 kW limit for the month of November due to the good administration of energy.
“Even though there has been no rain, the government has decided to postpone it due to good administration and self-awareness of Albanian citizens, which has given the first effects of reducing the cost of electricity consumed in vain,” said Balla.
“We are in the conditions when we are among the only countries in the region but also among the few countries in Europe where the government continues to subsidize 80% of the electricity bill of households and small businesses,” he said.
Balla emphasized that at a time when the Energy Regulatory Authority announced that the limit will not be applied, a part of the media maliciously continues to misinform that the 800 kW threshold will be applied.
“This is not true”, said Balla.
Regarding such a decision even PM Edi Rama had a comment who denounced those who distribute fake news on the above issue. It is the government that decides, while ERE just sets the price having no decision making authority. /Argumentum.al
