TIRANA, November 4 – Prime Minister Edi Rama has referred to the protest of November 12 and the calls of opposition leaders to take over the prime minister’s office or even power itself.
Bringing attention to these calls in a meeting with citizens in Tropoja, northeastern Albania, on Friday, Rama said that the damage is being done to Albania, since they have nothing to gain.
“What does Putin want? Putin wants chaos in NATO countries. What are they looking for? Mess! Mess! Because the elections are in May (next year). What does this mean to me – “we (opposition) will come, we will take the office, we will take the roof, the balcony, come on people, get up. What will this tell me?! Do you think it is unrelated?” said Rama.
But Rama retorted by telling the opposition that they will get nothing; they just harm Albania and its image.
According to him, opposition leaders are engaging the citizens in protests to serve the Kremlin and a part of the Albanians do this completely unconsciously and absolutely unintentionally.
“They (DP) took half a million dollars to start a fight and bring down the Socialist Party. It turns out that the tent was financed with Russian money. So the questions arises for what they got the (Russian) money. The tent was financed with Russian money. The story continues,” said the premier. /Argumentum.al
