TIRANA, November 11 – President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will pay a visit to Tirana on Tuesday at the invitation of Albanian President Bajram Begaj.
Head of State Begaj will hold an official state ceremony in his honor, since this is the first time that the Azeri president visits Albania.
Albania has the Trans-Adriatic gas pipeline agreement with Azerbaijan, which is part of the Southern Gas Corridor and transports natural gas to Europe from the Shah Deniz II field in Azerbaijan.
Connecting to the Trans Anatolian pipeline at the Greek-Turkish border, TAP crosses Northern Greece, Albania and the Adriatic Sea before arriving at shore in Southern Italy to get connected with the Italian natural gas network. /Argumentum.al
