TIRANA, November 17 – Prime Minister Edi Rama highlighted the importance of regionalizing markets in terms of energy to have easier access to financing and much stronger partnerships with the private sector in Belgrade on Thursday.
In the joint press conference after the panel discussions of the conference organized in Belgrade under the auspices of the Norwegian government, on the topic “Investment opportunities in renewable energy in the Western Balkans” and the cooperation of the countries of the region for energy security, Prime Minister Rama called it an excellent opportunity and a truly necessary meeting in these times of war.
“There is no doubt that in these difficult times, what we said before when we started the ‘Open Balkans’ and when we pushed for a wider regional cooperation becomes more and more visible,” said Rama.
He said that “we need to regionalize our markets and as far as energy is concerned we need to go beyond our markets, because otherwise we still remain small markets.”
The Prime Minister described Thursday as important, while expressing his gratitude to the Norwegian and Serbian governments, which made it possible to start this conversation with the best and most knowledgeable people and structures in Europe, which are the Norwegians. /Argumentum.al
