TIRANA, November 24 – The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, reminded the head of the parliamentary group of the ruling Socialist Party (SP), Taulant Balla of the accusations against him as being involved in the murder of the lawyer, Ravik Gurra. Berisha demanded that Balla face the charges at the prosecutor’s office, while the head of the SP parliamentary group remained silent, not commenting on these charges.
Berisha based the accusations against Balla by referring to the statements made in court by the culprit, Ardian Çapja. Berisha asked Balla to answer the charges at the Prosecutor’s Office in Thursday’s plenary session of the Assembly.
Berisha reminded the head of the Socialist Parliamentary Group that he is also accused of deleting the wiretapping of the massacre that took place in Elbasan in 2016, which, according to Çapja’s testimony, is the reason for the murder of lawyer Ravik Gurra.
Faced with these accusations, Taulant Balla remained silent, not contradicting them. The head of the Socialist Parliamentary Group requested disciplinary measures for the DP chairman without giving any comment on the charges leveled against him.
Ardian Çapja declared in court a few days ago that there were interceptions of a senior politician by the name of Taulant in the file of the 2016 massacre. Those interceptions, according to him, were erased with Balla’s intervention and were the reason for the murder of Çapja’s lawyer Ravik Gura. /Argumentum.al
