TIRANA, November 25 – Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with the newly elected President of the Socialist International and Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez within the framework of the XXVI Congress of the Socialist International in Madrid on Friday.
Rama, who is also chairman of the Socialist Party (SP), shared photos of the meeting on social networks where it is said that he congratulated the new President of the Socialist International.
The XXVI Congress of the Socialist International takes place in Madrid, Spain, on November 25-27, organized by the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party, PSOE.
The council met on the morning of November 25. The day before the meeting, the meetings of the statutory commissions and the working dinner of the presidium were held.
SP has been part of the Socialist International since 1999. Prime Minister Edi Rama has been elected vice president of the Socialist International. This is Prime Minister Rama’s second term as vice president, while his first term was in 2013. /Argumentum.al
