TIRANA, November 28 – Albania and Kosovo commemorated together the 110th anniversary of the proclamation of Independence in Vlora, southern Albania, on Monday.
The two presidents, Bajram Begaj and Vjosa Osmani, accompanied by the two speakers of the assemblies, Lindita Nikolla and Glauk Konjufca, as well as the prime ministers, Edi Rama and Albin Kurti, visited the premises where the “Kosovo” museum will be built in Vlora, which will be dedicated entirely to the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
The “Kosovo” museum is established in “Flag Square” and its history will start with the “League of Prizren” until today.
The senior authorities were then greeted by the army brass band.
The visit was made as part of the Independence celebrations. The flag raising ceremony on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of Independence was held where Ismail Qemali raised the Albanian flag on November 28, 1912 proclaiming Albania a sovereign and independent state.
This ceremony brought together the highest state leaders of Albania and Kosovo. On November 27, the two Assemblies of Albania and Kosovo held a joint commemorative session in Tirana. /Argumentum.al
