TIRANA, December 2 – The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, reacted harshly again against the British ambassador in Tirana, Alastair King-Smith. He said that the ambassador has defamed in a low manner.
“Corruption was used to fight the one who denounces corruption the most. Governor Kim went from one meeting to another, saying that we have facts, but we don’t have them, and her superior, Escobar, came to Sokol Balla and said that we have facts and we will transmit them through the Voice of America in a few months. He called on them to find facts. So, they don’t have any facts,” said Berisha on Friday.
Further he said that the British Ambassador, Alistair King-Smith has terribly deceived his government on the basis of corruption, but Great Britain is transparent. “The British authorities refuse to say that we have facts, but we don’t tell them. They have an official, legal channel to follow the case. I have found them and I will make them all public to the Albanians at the right moment for them to see what low disinformation Ambassador Alistair King-Smith has spread in the name of his government,” said Berisha.
“One of the biggest problems of this mafia in power is the suitcases of euros that it distributes to buy statements, decisions, to distort reality,” said the DP chairman. “I want to expose and denounce Alistair Smith-King and thus protect the dignity of the British government because he slanders what Lulzim Basha and Erion Veliaj have told him. I will make them public,” said Berisha. /Argumentum.al
