TIRANA, December 10 – Democrat MP Jorida Tabaku continued the denunciations about the incinerators and through a post on social networks she said on Saturday that all the people involved in the incinerators scheme hide the involvement of ministers in it.
Tabaku, who was also the chairperson of the Investigative Commission for Incinerators, said that former finance minister Arben Ahmetaj denied having a relationship with Klodian Zoto, Mirel Mërtiri and Stela Gugallja in his testimony at the Investigative Commission. But now, according to Tabaku, the documents show his connection. The MP called on the prosecution authority for serious crimes, SPAK, to continue the investigations and summon Ahmetaj to testify.
“The publication by the media of the electronic communications of the owners in search of incinerators connects him with one of the key people, who influenced the state decision-making to devise, approve and implement the corrupt scheme that today is costing the state budget 430 million euros,” she said, adding that she had asked evidence from the Investigative Commission for Incinerators regarding the bank transactions of those who are involved in the 430 million euro affair
“The people involved in the incinerator affair, worth 430 million euros, are hiding secrets about the corruption of ministers. Arben Ahmetaj, a witness in that Commission, when he was asked by me if he had traveled or had close acquaintances with the suspects Zoto, Mërtiri and Gugallja, answered by denial,” she said. “Well, the latest evidence published in the media shows that he has close acquaintances with all the persons who have been declared wanted,” Tabaku said. /Argumentum.al
