TIRANA, December 16 – Deputy of the Democratic Party (DP) Tritan Shehu has reacted after the election of Altin Dumani as the new head of the special prosecution authority against organized crime and corruption, SPAK, for the next 3 years.
In a post on Facebook on Friday Shehu, a former foreign minister, said that the changes to the Special Structure do not change the country and that everything is just noise and illusion.
“Much ado about nothing! It is not SPAK that can change Albania. This is Don Quixote like illusion. Albania can only be changed by political upheavals,” said Shehu.
Only a broad popular movement can restore democratic values, essential for any positive change, including justice, he said.
“While autocracies “suffocate” justice, they “suffocate” a country and an entire people by first suffocating freedom, the rights of democracy! This is happening in Albania today!” said Shehu. /Argumentum.al
