TIRANA, January 7 – The chairman of the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party (SP), Taulant Balla, congratulated the election of Kevin McCarthy as the 55th chairman of the House of Representatives in the American Congress.
Balla emphasized that “this was a difficult process, even to be written in history, but already the work of the new legislature started after a week and 15 consecutive votes”.
“Cooperation with the USA is today at an excellent level for the benefit of democratic developments, the strengthening of the rule of law and the principles of the market economy; in support of Albania’s membership in the European Union; together in NATO, committed to maintaining stability, peace and security in Europe and beyond,” Balla said on social networks on Saturday.
Balla estimates that the high level and frequent meetings confirm excellent relations and strategic partnership.
“Even between the American Congress and the Assembly of Albania, we have excellent relations and we look forward to meeting with the newly elected leaders in the House of Representatives,” Balla said. /argumentum.al
