TIRANA, January 10 – The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj received on Tuesday in a meeting the new head of the OSCE Presence in Tirana, Ambassador Guido De Sanctis.
The head of state said on social networks that he emphasized that “political parties and other competing entities demonstrate a clear will to respect the law and a fair competition and that political dialogue is necessary to move the country forward.”
“The presence of the OSCE in Albania is an important and cooperative partner in facing the challenges related to the consolidation of the rule of law, the organization of free and fair elections, the freedom and professionalism of the media, anti-corruption and many other areas,” said Begaj.
“In today’s meeting with the new Head of the OSCE Presence in Tirana, Ambassador Guido De Sanctis, I appreciated the role of this organization so far, as well as the step-by-step transformation of the focus of cooperation. I stressed that it is very important for political parties and other competing subjects to demonstrate a clear will to respect the law and a fair competition and that political dialogue is necessary to move the country forward,” said President Begaj. /Argumentum.al
