TIRANA, January 15 – Kosovo PM Albin Kurti has said that every time they go to visit and pay homage to Recak, they inevitably remember the images of the bodies of 45 civilians massacred by the police and forces of Serbia.
Kurti said that Serbia committed war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.
“Serbia continues to present narratives denying what happened, trying to falsify its role in carrying out this massacre,” Kurti said on Sunday.
The prime minister emphasized that those who deny the genocide dream of its repetition.
According to him, the crime against humanity committed in the village of Reçak in Shtime on January 15, 1999, cannot be hidden, obscured or amnestied.
“In general, when the truth is so powerful as that of the Reçak massacre, narratives denying it also appear, as Serbia has done since the day of the Reçak massacre until today, trying to blur and falsify the direct planning and executing role of the state of Serbia in carrying out the massacre of Recak,” Kurti said.
“On December 5, 2019, the current president of Serbia, who was minister of information at that time only 3 years ago declared that the massacre of Recak was a fabrication and forgery,” Kurti said. /Argumentum.al
