TIRANA, January 17- Albanian citizens will be able to travel to China without the need to obtain a visa as it has worked until now.
Prime Minister Edi Rama informed that after 30 days the agreement on the free movement of Albanian citizens in China between the two countries will enter into force.
“After 30 days, China opens visa-free for Albanians,” the Prime Minister announced on social networks on Tuesday.
The Albanian government decided in the meeting held on December 27, 2022, the approval in principle of the agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the government of the People’s Republic of China, for the mutual waiver of visas for the passport holders of public officials and ordinary passports.
The decision was approved in principle by the Council of Ministers, as a proposal of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
“We believe that the entry into force of the “Agreement” will effectively promote exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, tourism, culture and education and will further deepen the friendship between the two peoples,” said the Chinese Ambassador in a post on social networks on Tuesday. /Argumentum.al
