TIRANA, January 18 – “Putin is obsessed with Kosovo.” This is how the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, expresses his concern about the attention that Russia pays to his country during an interview with the Swiss media “Blick”.
The head of the government of Pristina considers this, but also the close cooperation between Serbia and Russia, a big reason for NATO to increase its presence in Kosovo, as he said, to reduce the chances of future conflicts.
“I’m cautious, but I’m never afraid. I am alert. Putin is obsessed with our country. He was pleased about the lack of success of Western interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is angry and nervous about the fact that they have succeeded in Kosovo,” said Albin Kurti.
Kurti also spoke about the conclusion of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, confirming that an agreement can be reached within a few months, if there is a will from both sides and with the support of the European Union, NATO, the United States of America and Great Britain. Great!
During the interview with Blick at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Kurti also spoke about the risk of a new escalation of the situation in the north of Kosovo, confirming that the situation there is calm and repeated the call for Kosovo Serbs to apply for vacant positions in the administration. /Argumentum.al
