TIRANA, January 22 – The chairman of the parliamentary group of Partia Socialiste (SP), Taulant Balla declared on Sunday that SP will submit a new report to SPAK on January 21. Balla said that he will ask SPAK to evaluate the material published by journalist Artan Hoxha, as new evidence for that event.
SP wants to bring back to the attention the January 21 event, which was investigated 12 years ago, when the Prosecutor’s Office was headed by Ina Rama, today one of the people entrusted with the ‘New Justice’.
“That recording represents evidence for us. The evaluation of whether it is proof or not is done by SPAK. According to our estimation. I think it is authentic evidence,” said Balla.
In his statements to the media, journalist Artan Hoxha implied that the material came from foreigners, and according to him, this was done to overlap the voice with the Figure.
“They recorded this and it was kept as evidence. It has been made available to me to tune in to events. I was asked to make an overlap, to connect the voice with the picture,” he declared on Saturday.
But according to Attorney Genc Gjokutaj, this material does not constitute evidence, since in order to be considered evidence, there must be original material. “We have the discovered part. What can be considered evidence is the technical means by which this interception was carried out, and if we do not have this, it must exist with the entire material. Then if there is not one, it is null,” said Gjokutaj.
In his conference, Balla also focused on the murder of Aleks Nika, which is still unsolved, and which, according to him, should be investigated by SPAK.
“I think that if Aleks Nika’s file is investigated, there will be a lot of other evidence and we will have a complete report document accompanied by the elements of evidence to advance the investigation of the criminal file,” said Taulant Balla.
