TIRANA, January 26 – The chairman of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta, said on Thursday that the prosecution authority for serious crimes, SPAK, should immediately start investigations against Edi Rama.
“SPAK must establish an intensive, serious and very close communication with the American justice institutions in order to clarify this very serious scandal to the end, in the light of the irrefutable evidence discovered by the US justice system,” said Meta in a post on social networks.
According to the head of the FP, no Albanian can ever accept to have a Prime Minister, whose office is fully incriminated with illegal activities to the detriment of the highest interests of Albania and Albanians.
According to him, SPAK should have started in time the very in-depth investigations in the face of this scandal, which has transformed the institution of the Prime Minister into a place of corruption, manipulation and mafia influence-trafficking, corrupting even high-ranking officials like McGonigal.
Meta underlined that every attempt by Edi Rama to avoid facing the truth, including the parliamentary investigation into this scandalous corruption affair is a confirmation of his guilt and a desperate attempt to hide the inevitable accountability. /Argumentum.al
