TIRANA, February 11 – The Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, described Prime Minister Edi Rama as desperate, wicked and the most corrupt prime minister in Europe, asking him to resign and leave.
Berisha said this at the massive anti-government protest organized in Tirana on Saturday where he declared: “Today we started the revolution. Long live the victory!”
Berisha told the crowd of thousands of DP supporters and its ally Freedom Party (FP) from Tirana and other cities of Albania, which had mobilized hundreds of police forces to keep order at the premier’s office where the rally started and other institutions where the demonstrators went like in a tour that the pro-western opposition of Albania told the European leaders the truth that Edi Rama is the most corrupt prime minister in Europe, that he is the head of the first and only narco-state in Europe at the previous protest.
“You all remember the mud that Rama threw on the opposition to silence it, you all remember the measures he took against the opposition people to stop protesting that day. You all remember the attempt on life he organized with a paid scoundrel, but he received world shame. Our voice was heard all over the world,” he said.
“Truth can never be covered. The truth always triumphs, just like the sunlight that disperses the darkness, our truth always becomes more enlightening in Albania, but also among our friends in the world,” said Berisha denouncing the efforts of the government to suppress the opposition.
Further he said that now the world media keep the scandal, the Watergate of the 21st century, on the front page. “Edi Rama is the only prime minister who is mentioned 14 times for corrupting and using as a hitman one of the most powerful detectives on the planet against the western opposition of Albania,” said Berisha. The head of the DP further said that after this treacherous act towards the great ally of the Albanian nation, the US, the country that leads NATO, Edi Rama is no longer legitimate.
“Edi Rama, you have armored this building, you have put army tanks and armored vehicles in tunnels in Surrel. Now let me say here, remove them from Surrel, take half of them to Ukraine, because our ideals, the ideals of this revolution pierce every blind, annihilate every tank. Poor you, who think to defend yourself in this way,” said Berisha.
The protest was peaceful and according to reports there will be another protest in front of the Assembly on Monday. /Argumentum.al
