TIRANA, February 12 – The Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha held a meeting on Sunday at the DP headquarters with the heads of Tirana branches where he spoke on the eve of the protest to be held by the opposition on Monday.
According to Berisha, the parliament will witness the most powerful popular protests around it, adding that this institution has turned from the temple of democracy into a tool of PM Edi Rama.
Further he appealed to the Democrats that they are invited to be around the parliament in every session and asked them to make every effort.
“We will stay as it is, but the parliament will witness the most powerful popular protests around it. The voters of Tirana and Albania will protest for a parliament that respects the vote of 620,000 Albanians who voted against Edi Rama. Therefore, the democrats of Tirana are invited and I ask that they make every effort to be at the parliament in every session,” said Berisha.
“I am confident that our revolution will not stop and do not be influenced. This political force does not take power by violence, we are neither an extremist force nor a Leninist one,” said the DP head. /Argumentum.al
