TIRANA, February 14 – The Democratic Party (DP) will hold another national protest on March 3. The protest is expected to take place on the same day that the Court of Appeal will consider the case for the right to the stamp and logo of the Democratic Party.
The decision on the date of holding the protest was made at the meeting of the Chairmanship of the DP on Tuesday..
On February 11, the opposition organized a national protest in front of the Prime Minister’s Office where the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama was demanded.
The DP chairman, Sali Berisha said that in addition to the national protests, there will also be protests during the parliamentary sessions.
Last Monday, the opposition protested in front of the Assembly, while it is expected that they will do the same on February 16. Protests will be held when the parliamentary sessions usually take place.
In the meantime, the Socialist Party parliamentary group officially asked the Assembly to expel 4 DP deputies from the parliamentary deliberations holding them responsible for the chaos created during the plenary session on Monday which canceled its proceedings without considering any items of the agenda.
Last week, 8 DP deputies were expelled for ten days for the same reason. /Argumentum.al
