TIRANA, February 19 – The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, commented on Sunday the silence of the special prosecution for serious crimes, SPAK, regarding the corrupt affair of Prime Minister Edi Rama and former senior FBI official Charles McGonigal, to destroy democracy in Albania.
Berisha asked the question on Facebook if SPAK is alive, answering but apparently not.
‘He (Rama) corrupted the FBI, tried to kill the opposition and undermined democracy. Is Spak alive? No, it’s not Skap (does not catch)!’ said PD leader Berisha on Facebook.
In the meantime Socialist Party led majority has not endorsed a request of the opposition to establish a parliamentary investigative commission on McGonigal case while PM Rama has delayed a motion with debate asked by opposition. The Speaker, Lindita Nikolla announced a few days ago that the debate will take place on March 2. /Argumentum.al
