TIRANA, February 22 – Albania and Japan have joined forces to support Ukraine, Prime Minister Edi Rama declared in Tokyo on Wednesday
In a joint press statement with the Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, Prime Minister Rama spoke of cooperation to condemn Russian aggression in Ukraine.
“We are together in the Security Council and as you said, we have joined forces to support Ukraine and together we condemn Russian aggression. It is a totally unacceptable violation of international law and a totally unacceptable attack on the territorial integrity of another country. So we will continue to work side by side with Japanese friends and allies in the Security Council and we are very honored to do so,” said Rama.
Further he said that we have seen with great interest the National Defense strategy that he has made and I expressed my deepest appreciation for this profound document that covers the issues of this difficult time in a very inspiring way.
In the end, Prime Minister Rama invited his Japanese counterpart to visit Albania. /Argumentum.al
