TIRANA, February 22 – The Constitutional Court accepted on Wednesday the request made by a group of deputies of the Democratic Party and annulled as incompatible with the Constitution the normative acts with the force of the law “On transparency and price monitoring for some basic food products and products of others related to them as a result of the special situation created in the market”.
Regarding this issue, the Court assessed that the normative acts with the force of law do not meet the constitutional criteria provided in Article 101 of the Constitution.
For this reason, the Constitutional Court by a majority of votes decided to accept the request of the group of DP deputies and repeal the normative acts with the force of the law “On transparency and price monitoring for some basic food products and other related products as a result of the situation specially created in the market”.
This decision is final and enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette. /Argumentum.al
