TIRANA, March 4 – The Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha announced on Saturday that an appeal will be made to the Supreme Court for the decision of the Court of Appeal regarding the seal and logo of the DP made on Friday in a long session. According to him, “the aim is to send the case to the international court”.
“Edi Rama’s decision to overturn the decision of the Court of Fact, which was signed by 3 hostage-taken judges, will go down in the annals of Albanian and world justice as the blackest stain of shame,” said Berisha in a press conference on Saturday.
“We will send it to the Supreme Court. We will request the exclusion of Sadushi from the trial. We don’t expect anything else, because the order is the same, but we will follow the procedure in the international court,” he said.
Berisha emphasized that “all those who engaged in the fight against the opposition are McGonigals of their own kind, regardless of the role they play, ambassadors or advisers”.
“They tried to give the DP a fatal blow, keeping a political corpse, a political hostage at its head, which they accused publicly and legally as a puppet financed by the Russians, and according to them, according to Edi Rama, but according to Governor Yuri Kim, he (Enkelejd Alibeaj) was suitable to lead the main opposition force. This is the biggest paradox, not for Edi Rama. The representative of the great country of freedom tries by all means to violate flagrantly the laws and the Constitution so that the Albanian opposition will be led by a man financed by the Russians. There is no greater paradox than this,” said Berisha.
Asked by the media what are the forms through which the DP candidates will be sent to the elections, Berisha said that “the proposals are – the coalition; proposal is-the independents, but this does not go very well, there are few supporters. However, a decision will be made by the DP National Council.” /Argumentum.al
