TIRANA, March 4 – The chairman of the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party (SP), Taulant Balla, confirmed that the SP was officially registered with the Central Election Commission for the May 14 elections on Saturday.
In a statement to the media in Fier, Balla called on all political forces to adhere to the deadlines set in the Electoral Code.
“Today’s meeting was for the members of the Fier Municipal Council. We developed a 2-month process for proposals and candidacies. We have a lot of professionals of different ages, citizens with daily contributions to the life of the city… Today, the meeting with the 600 members of the Assembly was the conclusion of this process,” said Balla.
Balla responded to the interest of journalists on Friday’s decision of the Court of Appeal, stating that the decisions of the Court are not commented on, they are simply implemented.
“When they accuse that the decision to declare Sali Berisha ‘non grata’ was taken by (Edi) Rama, this is a great shame. It is the daily degradation of a political force, of a dead politician. The truth is that this is a family problem,” said Balla. /Argumentum.al
