TIRANA, March 26 – The public agreement and commitment of the Kosovar and Serbian parties to implement the European plan for the normalization of relations between the Kosovo and Serbia and the relevant annex, as an integral part of it, is one more guarantee for peace, stability and the future of the countries of the Western Balkans in the European Union.
This was declared by President Bajram Begaj in a meeting with Kosovo PM Albin Kurti, who is paying a visit to Albania, on Sunday.
Kurti held a meeting for about 30 minutes with President Begaj where he informed him in detail about the negotiations with Serbia, led by the European Union and supported by the United States of America on March 18, 2023 in Ohrid, North Macedonia.
Begaj welcomed the leadership, prudence and courage shown by Prime Minister Kurti and the negotiating team of the Republic of Kosovo, to accept the European plan, as well as to sign and implement it.
President Begaj also expressed the belief that the commitment taken by the parties in Ohrid will be fully respected, while the appropriate mechanisms will be found to turn this public agreement into a binding and applicable agreement for the parties internationally. /Argumentum.al
