TIRANA, April 4 – The representative of the World Bank in Albania, Emanuel Salinas, was asked about the fiscal amnesty In the press conference held together with Prime Minister Edi Rama on Tuesday.
During his speech, Salinas emphasized that despite the fact that Albania has made efforts to move forward, it is imperative that the whole picture about this issue be seen more clearly and broadly.
“We are working closely with the Ministry of Finance. We have to look at the bigger picture and that has to do with the country’s fiscal sustainability. Many efforts have been made in Albania,” he said, answering the question of the journalist.
Salinas said that the cooperation they have had with the Ministry of Finance has been productive, but he wants to see this picture more broadly.
“We have seen efforts that have yielded results. Albania has emerged in a less painful way than other countries in the region from the blows it has suffered. We must constantly look at the bigger picture. We express our suggestions, advice and then work together with the authorities,” said the representative of the World Bank in Albania, Emanuel Salinas. /Argumentum.al
