TIRANA, April 17 – Prime Minister Edi Rama underwent an emergency surgical intervention early on Monday morning to have his appendicitis removed. According to the press office of the prime minister, the operation was successful and the health condition of the prime minister appears to be good. Based on the recommendation of emergency service doctors, the prime minister underwent the operation to remove appendicitis in the early hours of this morning.
In a statement to the media, Doctor Arben Gjata said that the prime minister’s condition is stable and that everything in the operation went very well. Among other things, the doctor confirmed that the intervention was done to remove the appendicitis by laparoscopy.
