TIRANA, April 20 – The Democratic Party (DP) described as illegal the decision of the Appeals and Sanctions Commission (KAS) in the Central Election Commission, which did not approve the request of the Freedom Party (FP) for the leadership of the coalition “Together We Win” by DP chairman Sali Berisha.
In a statement to the media on Thursday, DP spokesperson, Floriana Garo, considered the decision of KAS to reject the request of the vice chairman of the Freedom Party, Endrit Braimllari, shameful.
“Ilir Rusmali, Elvin Lako, Koli Bele and Ledio Braho, four mercenaries in Rama’s court, have made a decision in the name of KAS, the Complaints and Sanctions Commission, with the aim of scaring the opposition. They refused with an absurd “No” the legitimate and sovereign request of the vice president of the Freedom Party, Endrit Braimllari, on behalf of the coalition “Together We Win” that the leader of the coalition be Sali Berisha,” Garo said, adding that decision was made by order of Edi Rama in violation of the most basic constitutional and democratic principles.
Likewise, Garo stated that the DP considers the decision illegal. “The attempt to minimize the stature of the leader of the “Together We Win” coalition, Sali Berisha, is nothing more than the next shame. Since September two years ago, history and direct political confrontation have judged men and tested leaders. The Democratic Party, on behalf of the “Together We Win” coalition, sees this latest act of illegality and immorality as a ‘banality of evil’ that only harms itself by repeating itself,” said Garo. /Argumentum.al
