TIRANA, April 23 – The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has published preliminary results of the elections in Kosovo, which were held on April 23. According to the announcement published on the official website of the CEC, the Democratic League of Kosovo is leading the elections so far, having received 18,399 votes or 23.87%.
In second place is the Democratic Party of Kosovo with 16,488 votes or 21.39%. In third place is the Vetëvendosje Movement with 15,299 or 19.85%. AAk-Psd Coalition 100% KOSOVO has gathered 10,723 votes or 13.91%.
The Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission, Kreshnik Radoniqi, said in a press conference after the end of the electoral process in the four municipalities in the north that everything went without incident, but the participation was low.
“The election process was held without any problems. The commissioners are counting the ballots,” declared the ambassador of Kosovo in Brussels.
“I want to inform you that after the counting in four municipalities, the preliminary results will be published on the official website of the CEC-soon,” he said.
Serb population, which is the majority in these areas, have completely boycotted the elections. /Argumentum.al
