TIRANA, May 9 – PM Edi Rama’s statement in support of President Erdogan did not raise any big interest In Turkey, journalist Sokol Brahaj said in a report quoted by Dritare TV on Tuesday. Brahaj spoke about the support that Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed through a video message to the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“In Turkey, it hasn’t raised a big interest, because Edi Rama doesn’t have much connection in Turkey with the associations, with the Albanian diaspora. Seen from the diplomatic side, especially in Turkey, this will be used very well by the Turkish opposition because Erdogan accuses the opposition of having the help of the West,” said the journalist.
“But the Albanian Diaspora in Turkey is no longer with Erdogan, but with his rival,” said the journalist, Brahaj.
In the meantime , former Prime Minister Sali Berisha in a press conference on Tuesday accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of the support he has shown to Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the presidential elections to be held in Turkey.
Berisha said that their relationship is about maintaining each other’s power.
“I am here today to publicly denounce Edi Rama’s scandalous intervention in the electoral campaign of our friendly country, Turkey,” said Berisha. /Argumentum.al
