TIRANA, May 12 – A serious accident happened on Thursday night around 23:10, at the overpass in Mjull Bathore, on the Tirana-Elbasan road axis, resulting in the death of a Russian diplomat, said police on Friday.
The vehicle of the Russian embassy, driven by citizen Andrea Kukuvič and passenger Sergei Mironov collided with the metal banner of the road, colliding fatally with the curb.
As a result of the injuries received from the collision, the Russian citizen Sergei Mironov, 36 years old, died in the hospital, while the citizen Andrea Kukuvič, 30 years old, is in the hospital, under the care of doctors.
The investigative group is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident, said the police. /argumentum.al
