TIRANA, May 19 – The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha has declared that he will have the vote of confidence. Berisha said that the DP statute will be applied for the loss in the local elections in the weekly press conference on Friday.
“According to the statute, the chairman who loses the local elections goes to the vote of confidence, and the same thing will happen with both stolen and free elections. So I don’t need any kind of alibi because the statute will be implemented point by point,” said Berisha.
“All my effort is done as an obligation to democracy and to all those citizens who voted against the system or who were afraid to vote against it. A society that does not hold free elections has no future,” said Berisha.
According to him, the analysis of DP at all levels, for all problems, for all responsibilities, will become more transparent and stronger than ever before, with the aim of perfecting the work for a further reformation of this political force.
“Every democrat should know that this is our major obligation to every Albanian voter. But for the time that we defend the vote, all our energies are focused on the defense of the vote,” said Berisha. /argumentum.al
