TIRANA, June 11 – The Prime Minister of Kosovo, at the same time the head of the Vetevendosje Movement (VV), Albin Kurti, has called on internationals to intensify the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia for the implementation of the Brussels and Ohrid agreements at the 51st meeting of the General Council of the LVV on Sunday.
Kurti said that the Government of Kosovo is an uncompromising ally of the US and the EU. “Kosovo is behind the US and the EU in every sense of the word, in anti-Putin politics and democratic values. It is an uncompromising ally of the US and the European Union,” Kurti said. He said that the way forward for de-escalation of the situation in the north means the immediate stop of violence by criminal gangs against the police, NATO, journalists and mayors.
“In accordance with the security situation, with the removal of these gangs and their arrest, the police presence could be reduced proportionally. The dialogue for the full implementation of the basic agreement of February 27 in Brussels and of the annex of March 18 in Ohrid should be intensified. We need a balanced and fair coordination of the implementation of the basic agreement,” said Kurti.
He emphasized that until the early elections in the northern municipalities, the current mayors should exercise their duties, while he called on the Serbs to participate in the elections.
The Prime Minister added that there were attempts in the north for the demolition of the state system of Kosovo on November 5, 2022. /argumentum.al
