TIRANA, June 17 – President Bajram Begaj held a series of meetings with the heads of state of the region, as part of his participation in the Prespa Forum for Dialogue, where he met, among others, the President of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanovic, as well as the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic.
During the meetings, President Begaj shared with the counterparts the common vision based on mutual respect, dialogue, cooperation and inclusiveness, which are extremely important to strengthen peace and prosperity in the region of the Western Balkans.
It is reported that the developments in the North of Kosovo were high on the agenda of the talks. President Begaj underlined the need for the NATO member countries of the region to speak with one voice to prevent various provocations which aim at destabilizing Kosovo and the entire region.
Begaj’s discussions with the presidents of the countries in the region included issues related to the effects that the war in Ukraine has produced for the region as a whole, as well as problems of bilateral interest. /argumentum.al
