TIRANA, June 17 – The disagreements about the situation in the north of Kosovo with the United States of America and the European Union according to President Vjosa Osmani must be overcome.
“I don’t think that disagreements can be avoided by attacking each other in the media, but if we sit down and talk,” she said in Berlin on Saturday.
The stance declared by the President has been refused to be commented on by Prime Minister Albin Kurti who said that he is engaged in dialogue. But Kurti said that the implementation of the complete sequencing, without conditions and without delay, of the basic agreement and the implementation annex is missing.
“I requested that the meeting be this week and I proposed the five-point plan, but now we have a request that the meeting be next week. Once they said June 22, then June 23, and then 22. I will discuss the matter with my team and we will surely give an answer next week,” said Kurti.
After the recent tensions created by the kidnapping of three policemen, the internationals have asked for the de-escalation of the situation between Serbia and Kosovo. The EU representative for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell has organized an emergency meeting in Brussels for next week.
In the meantime the situation continues to be tense in the north of Kosovo while Belgrade warned internationals on Saturday that they could not interfere regarding their decision on the three Kosovo police officers who are imprisoned by Serbia. /argumentum.al
