TIRANA, June 22 – “The opposition will do everything necessary, but society must also do everything so that everyone can live with dignity. The opposition has protested. There is no question that there will be protests, and it is very important that we understand that society must react.”
This was said by the head of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta, at a press conference on Thursday.
According to Meta, everyone must make their choice to live as a free citizen, not intimidated, not even by the heads of the administration where they work, and this is a joint process.
Touching upon the situation in the north of Kosovo, Meta said that Belgrade should be asked to sign the Brussels and Ohrid agreement and to give up the strategy of escalating the situation in the north of Kosovo.
According to him, Kosovo has been placed in a position that it does not deserve at all, when it is very well known, who is the mastermind of the boycott of Kosovar institutions by Serbs.
Regarding the police operation in the Ashraf camp in Manze, FP head said that there is a lack of transparency on the part of the government and added that the police operation was a political action.
Meta pointed out that we are dealing with a change in the Albanian government’s behavior towards the residents of the camp, the reason for which, according to him, must be found. /argumentum.al
