TIRANA, June 23 – Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that there is no room to move with the de-escalation plan between Kosovo and Serbia without the release of three Kosovar police officers from Belgrade.
In a press conference on Friday, Rama said that another day was lost without dialogue between the two leaders of Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels, while the situation between the two countries degrades daily into a very dangerous spiral of absurdity.
“There is no possibility that there will be progress in dialogue or concrete de-escalation without their (Kosovar policemen) return home, even there can be no normality in the relations between Albania and Serbia as long as it (Belgrade) does not put an end to the deprivation of the freedom of the three policemen, who have not committed any crime,” he said.
Prime Minister Rama announced that “yesterday I sent a second letter to President Macron and Chancellor Scholz and the President of the European Council Charles Michel regarding the necessity for a new push of France and Germany as the godfathers of the Franco-German plan, with the support of US, for this plan to be implemented as soon as possible.” /argumentum.al
