TIRANA, June 27 – On Tuesday it was constituted the municipal council of Himara and next to the Greek ambassador present during the ceremony were the family members of the elected Mayor, Fredi Beleri, who is in jail and was not allowed to attend the constituting event.
“You should have released the mayor! Freddy Beleri should have been here!” said some of his supporters, who were in the town hall. At the same time, they demanded that the administrative employees of the Himara municipality leave.
“The new municipality should be created. The previous officials should be expelled and those who have been voted should enter,” said Beleri’s supporters.
