TIRANA, July 14 – The head of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, announced on Friday the appeal for protests by the opposition.
At the weekly press conference, Berisha presented his accusations about the incinerator’s file. Asked how the opposition will react to this file, Berisha answered by emphasizing that DP will turn to the Albanians to demand the removal of this government with protests.
“We have treated this topic with the greatest seriousness and authenticity. But it is imperative that we address the Albanians on this matter. In no country in the world, a government that has done this remains in power. And if it stays, it stays because of the weakness of the opposition,” said Berisha.
The former prime minister said that he is ready to talk with Gazment Bardhi, main figure in the DP faction headed by Lulzim Basha, for whom there was also an applause by him during the session in the Assembly, where a vote was made in favor of SPAK’s request for the arrest of MP Arben Ahmetaj as part of the investigation of the incinerators.
“Gazment Bardhi ended his speech with the biggest truth of this affair. He told the Albanians, maybe not in these terms, but that the enterprise (of incinerators) belongs to (PM) Edi Rama,” said Berisha. /argumentum.al
